Graco Receives FTC Request for Additional Information Related to Proposed Acquisition of ITW Finishing Businesses
MINNEAPOLIS, Jul 05, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Graco Inc. (NYSE: GGG) announced today that it has received a request for additional information (commonly referred to as a "Second Request") from the Federal Trade Commission ("FTC") in connection with Graco's proposed acquisition of the operations of the finishing businesses of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE: ITW). Graco has been cooperating with FTC staff since Graco originally filed its required notification pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended ("HSR Act"), on May 2, 2011. Graco intends to continue to cooperate with the FTC to obtain clearance as promptly as possible. The issuance of the Second Request extends the HSR Act waiting period to thirty days after Graco has substantially complied with the request, unless that period is terminated earlier by the FTC.
