MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Apr. 17, 2018-- Graco Inc.(NYSE:GGG), a leading manufacturer of fluid handling equipment, is expanding its presence in the electric pump market with larger size offerings to complement the current Husky and SaniForce® 1050e and 1040e electric diaphragm pumps. The new Husky and SaniForce 2150e platforms represent another step forward in the cutting-edge electric technology Graco has been developing for the processing market.

“This is an important move for us as we anticipate end-user expectations for their pumping technology,” said Jeff Shaffer, Graco’s Process Division Product Marketing Manager. “The transition to electrically-driven pumps reinforces the recent marketplace shifts. Customers are looking for equipment to lower energy consumption, increase control, and decrease ownership and operation costs for their facilities.”

The Husky and SaniForce 2150e pumps can reduce energy usage by up to 80 percent when compared to traditional air-operated diaphragm pumps.

“Our offering of an electrically-operated pump built for high flow rates could be a game changer in energy efficiency when compared to air pumps,” says Shaffer. “But it is not only great for air diaphragm pump applications – rotary lobe, progressive cavity and peristaltic pumps all struggle with different applications and, until now, there has not been another large electric pump that can tackle those issues.”

The Husky 2150e is a durable pump technology for handling the toughest slurries and abrasives with a seal-less pump designed to eliminate leaking. The SaniForce 2150e pump line meets FDA-approval standards for use in food, beverage, personal care and pharmaceutical industries.
